Russian prosecutors start 5 bln rbl anti-corruption cases Jan–Sep
MOSCOW, Dec 15 (PRIME) -- Russian prosecutors initiated about 5 billion ruble cases against corrupt officials in January–September against 1.1 billion ruble cases in the same period of 2016, First Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Buksman said at a meeting of law enforcement authorities on Friday.
“The results of work by prosecutor bodies to ensure redemption of material damage inflicted by corruption-related violations of law have increased: the amount of claim orders more than quadrupled over only nine months of 2017 (to 5 billion rubles from 1.1 billion rubles),” Buksman said.
